Marks, filings, and prior-use evidence.
Public statement of ScanSmart Ltd’s trademark position as of 30 April 2026. The marks named below are used in commerce by ScanSmart Ltd in the United Kingdom and are protected under common-law passing-off rights and (as filings progress) under registered trademark protection.
Registered marks (filings in progress)
ScanSmart Ltd has filed or is in the process of filing the following marks with the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO):
- SCANSMART — UKIPO Classes 9, 35, 41, 42 — £770 filing path per the Brand Bible Battle Plan v3.0
- POWER IS KNOWLEDGE DECODED — Class 35 (advertising, business administration, retail-related services, data compilation and systematisation). Filed as the canonical brand wordmark per the Battle Plan v3.0 + §14.5 of the Brand Bible.
Filing of MAKING THE UNSEEN SEEN was deliberately excluded under Section 3(1)(b) distinctiveness risk per the same Battle Plan analysis. Use of the phrase continues in non-trademark contexts.

Canonical brand artefacts
The following visual artefacts are sealed canonical brand assets of ScanSmart Ltd. The canonical artefact records are preserved in ScanSmart Ltd’s legal record and are dated. Any rendition altering the characters, spacing, or order of these artefacts produces a non-canonical reproduction and is not authorised commercial use of the marks.
- ScanSmart Hero v16 — canonical brand masthead, dated 23 April 2026; preserved per §14.3.1 of the Brand Bible
- ScanSmart Hero v2 — encoded-bars version, committed 27/28 April 2026 in the legal record; canonical render in production pipeline
- ScanSmart Marque v1 — the compact horizontal brand badge for footer / signature / closing-slide placement; committed 27 April 2026; canonical render in production pipeline
- Canonical serial — the 5-d-0-6-e-0-c / 1-o-3-d-7-e character sequence that appears in the Hero and Marque canonical artefacts. Preservation of this exact string is required across all canonical brand surfaces.
Prior-use evidence base
ScanSmart Ltd carries an internal record of dated commercial use of each mark across multiple surfaces — this website at scansmart.uk, the KiP Progressive Web App at app.scansmart.uk, partner one-pagers, the Brand Bible itself, the Decision Record (live since 29 April 2026), the Weekly Supermarket Checkout publication (launching 5 May 2026), the I500 Shop Directory (rolling launch from May 2026), and the Class 35 trademark filing record. Each surface compounds dated public use of the marks for trademark prior-use defence purposes.
